Counting Down The Final Quarter of the Year

October 2017 President's Message

By Gemma Houser, 2017 President

As we approach the end of the year I am nearing the end of my 2 year term as president. I am so blessed to be passing along the baton to Jennifer Pinney. I know she is going to do an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what she will do.

How amazing was CCNC this year? I can honestly say it was one of my favorite conferences. The new location was great and the events that were put on were simply amazing. I talked with so many people that told me how much they enjoyed it. The CCNC committee worked so hard on putting on the event and I would like to say thank you to all of them.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to be at the October luncheon meeting, but Jennifer Pinney, our VP, will be running it for me. Gregory Meath will be speaking on The Latest on Cyber Law. From all I’ve heard, his presentation is going to have some great information on guidelines for the use of social media in investigations.

I’m excited to announce that we also have our second annual Bowling Tournament coming up on November 8th! Last year we had a great event and I’m looking forward to it again. Please check the website and newsletter for more information on upcoming events. Our Membership Drive for 2017 is ongoing. Our association depends on our members so please make sure to renew/join now. You can go to our website to become a member or feel free to contact our Membership chair Lynna Harrison, or call her at (925) 785-7021 for more information.

I encourage you to bring new people to our meetings.

Please do not forget to respond to our Evite, its simple to purchase your lunch It’s simple to purchase your lunch now here. I look forward to seeing you at the bowling tournament, and hope that many of you will attend the October 11th luncheon.
