The Wonderful World of East Bay Claims!

June 2017 Message
from 2016-2017 EBCA President, Gemma Houser

Summer is here and the hot weather will be here before we know it. My kids are so excited to be out of school and we just enjoyed an amazing family vacation to Disney World. I've never been to Disney World before and I was shocked how big the Disney property is.

Our EBCA Secretary Michelle Baughman has decided to step down as she is busy working on other opportunities. I appreciate her help and time while she has been on the board and wish her all the best. If you are interested in joining the board please let me know.

I hope you all enjoyed the May luncheon. A big thank you to Jennifer Wahlgren and Mark Inbody, from Selman Breitman, for their presentation on Bad Faith Claims. It's always interesting to hear about claims where issues have arisen, and how they were handled .

I am looking forward to our June speaker, Jane Massengil, LCSW, who will be speaking on How to Work with Difficult Employers, Employees and Neighbors. I'm sure we have all run into situations where we could use some advice like this. Invite some of your colleagues, clients, family members. This is one we can all benefit from attending.

We have some other great speakers and topics planned for this year. Please check the website and newsletter for upcoming events.

It's that time of year again for our annual EBCA Golf Tournament, which will be on July 21st back at Eagle Vines in Napa. Amaya Fine and John Elhert are our new golf committee co-chairs and we are all looking forward to another great day out on the course. We have some great new sponsorships available this year. If you are interested in sponsoring and/or playing please check our website or reach out to them. These events aren’t possible without your participation.
